Christophe Guye Galerie is a contemporary art gallery, representing national and international artists who consider the medium of photography within the larger context of current art practices. First and foremost conceptual artists who choose to express their vision through the use of a camera or light sensitive materials, the works of these emerging talents, as well as mid-career and established artists, notably contribute to the historical discourse of art, as well as to the expanding medium of photography and to the evolution of contemporary art at large.

Founded by Christophe Guye in 2006 – former SCALO|GUYE Gallery – in Los Angeles, the gallery moved to its current location in Zurich/ Switzerland in 2010. With five to seven shows per year, the programme varies between solo and group exhibitions that include works by gallery as well as guest artists and are occasionally organised by invited curators. In addition, the gallery embraces the long-term counselling of collections and the fostering of new collectors, as well as the curating and organising of exhibitions in collaboration with institutions, museums, and partner galleries. The gallery participates in Paris Photo, Photo London and Unseen Amsterdam.

Moreover, the gallery offers limited edition art books from independent publishing houses such as amana and FOIL, Tokyo as well as Mörel Books and Nobody Publishing, London, among others.

My photography will look as through the keyhole, it will never be invasive or blatant, will capture moments and emotions, always on tiptoe, with the privileged point of view of those who share your happiness, but with years of experience in photographic services on his shoulders.

So you will see the tense expression of the groom waiting for the bride to come, the tears of happiness of a friend who reads his speech tried for days, the first dance barefoot on the grass, a stolen photo of a kiss on the forehead at the sunset… moments that will remain indelibly fixed in the photographs and in your memories.

© Juno Calypso

Juno Calypso is a London based artist working with photography, film and installation.
While studying photography at the London College of Communication, Juno began taking pictures of herself disguised as a character named Joyce.

Studying solitude, desire and femininity through a dark comedy lens. The Honeymoon was awarded an international prize by the The British Journal of Photography.

For her latest project, What to do With A Million Years, Juno staged photographs in a mansion built underneath Las Vegas in the 70s as a shelter from nuclear terror, and currently owned by a mystery group attempting to achieve immortality.

© Nicolas Bets

Nicolas Bets arrives in Paris from his native Belgium at 17, to become, like his mother, a photographer. He graduated after only one year in photography school.
During seven years, he attends to great names in the profession, such as Claus Wichrath and Jean-Daniel Lorieux.

On its best playing field, combining delusion and rigor, the aesthetics and sense of detail are pushed to the extreme. Between the harmony of colors, the sets, and the expressive power of the characters (sometimes numerous) he puts on stage, Nicolas Bets signs a recognizable and unique brand of his kind.

© Stefano Brunesci

First inspired by the classic B&W portraits of Hollywood greats such as Rita Hayworth, Greta Garbo and Marilyn Monroe, Stefano Brunesci first began photographing women in the 1970s. After a short foray into travel photography in his late teens, Stefano returned to his first passions, Art and Fashion, in 2007.

Although a convert to digital and a strong supporter of its benefits, Stefano prefers to keep his use of photoshop to a minimum and often publishes entirely unretouched work in the belief that passion and connection with the subject is the most important aspect of any photograph. As he says: “When you photograph a person you’re capturing a moment in their life… You can’t fake that with any software.”
